Tymoschuk Vasyl Ippolitovich
Associate Professor, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology
In 1985 he graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute, studied hydrogeology and engineering geology, and got qualification of mining hydrogeologist/engineer.
In 1985-1986 he worked as hydrogeologist/engineer at the Division surveys of the Lviv branch of the Institute "Atomteploelekroproekt"; from 1986 to 1987 as engineer hydrogeologist, and the chief of the hydrogeology Department of Dnipropetrovsk branch of the Institute "Ukrdiprovodhosp." From 1987 to 1990 he studied as postgraduate in Dnipropetrovsk Mining Institute. After graduation he worked as research assistant and then as senior researcher at National Mining Academy of Ukraine. Since 1994 he worked as assistant, then in 1996-1998 as associate professor of Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology. In 1998-2001 he was postdoctoral fellow, since 2001 till now he has been working as associate professor of Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology.
In 1993 he defended PhD thesis on the speciality 05.15.11 "Physical processes of mining".
He teaches the subjects "Geological Hydrochemistry", "Environmental Hydrochemistry", "Processing of hydrogeological and Environmental Information and Cartography", "Soil Mechanics", "Modeling of hydrogeological, Geotechnical and Man-made Processes." He manages the educational hydrogeological and geotechnical practical training.
He has 35 scientific and educational publications, 2 patents. He has developed the software for computer modeling of geo-mechanical processes and for calculations on trainings in groundwater dynamics and soil mechanics.
He is the scientific secretary of the scientific council on doctoral theses defense.
